Overview

By 2030, there will be 23 million new cancer patients, according to the National Cancer Institute. Half of these patients will require radiotherapy, which heavily relies on the patient’s digital profile for decision-making.

The goal of this project is to design an integrated patient insight dashboard that allows the care team to efficiently locate and review patient profiles. The dashboard is undergoing development alongside other parts of the MSK’s new system.

Context
What is Radiotherapy (RT)?
RT is a cancer treatment that uses high-dose radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. RT decisions heavily rely on the patient’s digital profile. Care team members need to review patients' profiles to create personalized treatment plans.
Problem
Data collection and review for each patient takes over 30 minutes.

How might we create a dashboard for the RT treatment team to efficiently locate and review patient profiles?
Solution
Data collection and review for each patient takes over 30 minutes.
WARP is being developed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), one of the leading cancer care hospitals in the U.S., for its internal information system.

As a component of WARP system, the patient insight dashboard integrates patients’ digital profiles and longitudinal patient records, enabling doctors to efficiently locate and review patients' documents.

Process
User Research
Mapping Out the User Journey
We conducted three user interviews with RT experts to gain a better understanding of the RT treatment process and to determine users' priority for information, such as which information is most important for each type of user during the treatment process.
User Personas
Based on user interviews with RT experts, we identified three key user personas and their prioritization of data during the treatment process.
Requirements
Deep Dive Analysis
Fake Data
We obtained the raw data from engineers and subsequently transformed it into an organized information structure.
Iterations Through Testing
Dashboard Layout
Explore the dashboard layout based on the new information structure.
A. Patient list - easily switching between patient profiles.
A. Patient Bio - the first thing users to review for each patient.
C. Timeline bar - easily drill down into longitudinal treatment records.
D. Toolbar - organize and navigate among different documents.

What is Sanctify?
Sanctify is a mobile app that provides screening and trading functionalities to faith-based investors and helps them make informed investment decisions on matters they care about most.
What are Faith-Based Investing and FFV Scorecard Screening?
Faith-based investors seek returns through investments aligned with their beliefs and values, often emphasizing ethical and socially responsible choices.

FFV (The Faith and Family Values) Scorecard is a widely-used screening methodology that evaluates companies for faith-based investment. For Sanctify’s MVP version, FFV scorecard is used as the screening rule.
Problem
Data collection and review for each patient takes over 30 minutes.
Gathering research on a company’s business involvement is a monumental challenge for the retail investors as it requires extensive time, energy, and resources. The retail investors have heavily relied on social media for making investment decisions, and have been seeking for professional guidance to obtain first-hand knowledge, and make investments accordingly. However, there are currently very few, if any solutions existing in the market to offer such services to retail investors.
How might we help faith-based investors to screen and invest with convenience and confidence?
Solution
Home as a Hub
Easy access to portfolio and screen results.
Tailored and real-time investment recommendations.
Screen
One-click screen functionality and instant reports.
